Dudley Edmondson is an acclaimed photographer, author, filmmaker, birder, and presenter. His landmark book, Black & Brown Faces in America's Wild Places, helped create a group of outdoor role models for our nation. In his latest book, People the Planet Needs Now, Dudley interviewed 25 Black and Brown scientists, environmental justice activists, and social justice activists to inspire change on a global scale. Dudley appeared in the PBS program America Outdoors with Baratunde Thurston. With the Mississippi River as the backdrop, they discussed Dudley’s passion for birding and nature, as well as inspiring diverse communities to enjoy the outdoors.

Dexter Patterson, known as the "Wisco Birder" on social media, is passionate about making birdwatching inclusive for everyone. Dexter's lively "You Ready? Let's Go!" videos showcase his discovery of various bird species and have garnered millions of views. As an educator, photographer, writer, speaker, and author of Birds of the Great Lakes, Dexter is committed to demonstrating that birding is open to all. He is also the co-founder of the BIPOC Birding Club of Wisconsin, where he works to promote inclusivity and create welcoming spaces in the outdoors.
